Will Steinberger has been a financial planner for over five years. His interest in the field began with his first job at age thirteen, when he became curious about how to invest his earnings from a summer job.
Will completed his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration at San Jose State University with a Concentration in Finance. After college he co-founded a music streaming company and then joined a FinTech startup that was acquired by MasterCard.
These ventures honed Will’s entrepreneurial skills, but he kept returning to his interest in personal finance. In 2014, he joined a Marin-based registered investment advisor where he earned his Certified Financial PlannerTM designation. Leveraging his business acumen with financial planning training was a perfect fit as he joined Opes Advisors in 2017.
Since joining the team, Will has been supporting the activities of Tracie Southerland and Erin Whalen, as well as working with his own clients. He is fulfilling his goals of helping people understand and manage their personal finances.
Originally from Palo Alto, he lives in Redwood City with his wife, Helene, and their St. Bernard, Winnie. His interests include reading, podcasts, staying active, and cooking. He gives back to the community by volunteering as a financial coach and board member for West Valley Community Services in Cupertino. In addition, he is a member of the Associate of Financial Educators and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Financial Planning.
